About the Thai Oranda

The Thai Oranda Goldfish, originating from top breeders in Thailand, is characterized by its vibrant coloration, flowing fins, and a distinctive head growth called a "wen." These fish are known for their peaceful nature and elegant appearance, making them a popular choice for aquarists of all experience levels. 

Goldfish are known to be social fish and produce a lot of waste. Effective filtration and tank set up are required to keep goldfish with optimal welfare.

Temperament: Peaceful

Minimum Tank Size: 40 Gallons for 2x Goldfish and effective filtration. Add 10-15 gallons of water for each additional fish.

Water Temperature: 64-78 °F

Water pH: 6.0-8.0

Social Group: 2+ Individuals

Diet: Omnivorous; Commercial Flakes & Pellets suited for goldfish, algae, algae wafers, detritus, Frozen Brine Shrimp/Bloodworms
