About the Red-tailed Black Shark
Red-tail Sharks are popular freshwater aquarium fish, known for their vibrant coloration and active behavior. They have an elongated, dark body (often black or dark blue) with bright red or orange fins. Despite their name, they are not true sharks but rather a member of the family Cyprininae. They are generally peaceful but can be territorial, especially towards their own kind.

Social Group: Solitary- territorial
Diet: Omnivorous; High-quality commercial flakes/pellets, algae, blanched vegetables (zucchini, spinach), frozen brine shrimp/bloodworms, daphnia, peas
Compatible with: Zebra Danios, Tiger Barbs, Mollies, Platies, Congo Tetra. Add the Red-tail Black Shark last to your community aquarium, similarly to bettas in community aquariums.
