Kuhli Loach

About the Kuhli Loach

Kuhli Loaches are small, eel-like freshwater fish, roughly 3-4 inches long, with a slender, segmented body featuring dark brown or black vertical stripes on a salmon-pink or yellowish background. They have a smooth, scaleless body with a distinctive head featuring barbels (whiskers) for foraging and small eyes covered by a transparent layer of skin. These nocturnal, peaceful, and communal bottom-dwellers are known for their active behavior in aquariums, particularly when kept in groups.

Water pH: 3.5-7.0

Social Group: 6+ Fish

Diet: Omnivorous; Detritus, High-quality commercial flakes/pellets, frozen brine shrimp/bloodworms

Compatible with: Neon Tetras, Betta, Dwarf Gourami, Sparkling Gourami, Chili Rasboras, Amano Shrimp, Celestial Pearl Danios.
