About the Frontosa
Frontosa cichlids, scientifically known as Cyphotilapia frontosa, are a popular and striking species of freshwater fish, notable for their large size and unique appearance. They are characterized by a nuchal hump on their head, which becomes more prominent as they mature, especially in males. They also have distinctive vertical black or dark blue bars on a white or blue body. These cichlids are relatively peaceful for their size and are found in Lake Tanganyika, Africa.
