About the Demasoni Cichlid
Demasoni cichlids are small, brightly colored African cichlids known for their striking blue and black vertical stripes. They are relatively peaceful for Mbuna cichlids and relatively easy to care for in aquariums. They are endemic to Lake Malawi, specifically around Pombo Rocks in Tanzania.

Temperament: Aggressive
Minimum Tank Size: 55 Gallons
Water Temperature: 75-82 °F
Water pH: 7.6-8.8
Social Group: 3-4 females per male fish; tank should be densely stocked to minimize aggression
Diet: Herbivorous; Spirulina Flakes, Blanched Vegetables (Spinach, Zucchini). Supplement with frozen bloodworms/brine shrimp
Compatible with: Only robust Mbuna that contrast in patterning but of similar size.
