They are native to South America, specifically the Guapore and upper Madeira rivers in Brazil and Bolivia. Sterba's Corydoras are relatively easy to care for and are a great addition to community and planted aquariums.

Social Group: At least 6 fish; these catfish are more comfortable in social groups

Diet: Omnivorous; Tropical Flakes, Frozen Food, Bottom Feeder Pellets, Detritus

Compatible with: Bettas, Gourami, Angelfish, Discus, Guppies, Shrimp, Mollies, Platies, etc. This fish should not be placed with species that can consume them or super aggressive species.
