About the Carpinitis Cichlid
The Carpinitis Cichlid, also known as the Pearlscale Cichlid, is a moderately large cichlid originating from the Rio Pánuco drainage in Mexico. It features a greyish-blue body with distinctive light blue or green spots, becoming more intensely colored during breeding. They are omnivorous, hardy, and easy to breed, but they are also aggressive and territorial, requiring large tanks with plenty of hiding places.

Compatible with: Plecos, similarly size New World Cichlids that cannot be eaten.
