About the Calico Oranda

Calico Oranda goldfish are a type of fancy goldfish known for their distinctive wen (a fleshy growth on their head) and vibrant, mottled coloration. They typically display a mix of red, orange, white, and black, creating a "calico" pattern. These peaceful and relatively slow-moving fish are popular in freshwater aquariums. 

Goldfish are known to be social fish and produce a lot of waste. Effective filtration and tank set up are required to keep goldfish with optimal welfare.

Minimum Tank Size: 40 Gallons for 2x Goldfish and effective filtration. Add 10-15 gallons of water for each additional fish.

Water Temperature: 64-78 °F

Water pH: 6.0-8.0

Social Group: 2+ Individuals

Diet: Omnivorous; Commercial Flakes & Pellets suited for goldfish, algae, algae wafers, detritus, Frozen Brine Shrimp/Bloodworms
