About the Black King Kong Shrimp

Black King Kong shrimp, also known as BKK or Black King Kong Panda Shrimp, are a type of Taiwan Bee shrimp known for their striking black and white coloration. They are a mutation of Crystal Black and Golden Bee shrimp, and while named after a giant ape, they are small, typically 1-1.5 inches in length. They thrive in stable, soft, acidic water conditions. Low pH but low-to-moderate hardness (3-6 °gH, 0-2 °kH) can be achieve with liquid shrimp minerals specific to Caridina Shrimp, or small bits of crushed coral in combination with leaf litter, driftwood, and other botanicals (be very careful with using coral in freshwater aquariums).
