About the Bamboo Shrimp
Bamboo Shrimp (Atyopsis moluccensis) are a fascinating filter-feeding species known for their large size and unique fan-like appendages used for catching food. They are peaceful, relatively hardy, and thrive in well-established community tanks. Their distinctive appearance and interesting feeding behavior make them a popular choice for aquarists. This species is only able to breed in brackish water, similarly to the Amano Shrimp.

Water Temperature: 70-82 °F
Water pH: 6.5-7.5
Social Group: Solitary or a small group. 20 Gallons with proper water flow is appropriate for two adult shrimp.
Diet: Omnivorous; Bamboo Shrimp are filter feeders, collecting free floating particles in the water column near areas with more water flow. Dosing your aquarium with BacterAE, and adding spirulina will ensure your Bamboo Shrimp have plenty to eat!
Compatible with: Peaceful community fish, Neocaridina Shrimp, Nerite Snails, Mystery Snails
