About the Angelfish

Angelfish are a popular freshwater aquarium fish known for their elegant, tall, disc-shaped bodies and flowing fins. They come in a variety of striking color patterns, including silver, black, gold, and marbled varieties. These moderately peaceful yet territorial cichlids are native to South America and thrive in planted tanks with hiding spots and open swimming areas.

Water Temperature: 76-86 °F

Water pH: 6.0-8.0

Social Group: Can live alone, in a breeding pair, or small group.

Diet: Carnivorous; Commercial Flakes, Frozen Brine Shrimp or Bloodworms, Tubifex Worms, Live Brine Shrimp

Compatible with: Cardinal Tetras, Rummynose Tetras, Bristlenose Plecos, Apistogramma sp., German Blue Rams, Bolivian Rams, Catfish (Corydoradinae)
