About the Albino Bristlenose Pleco
The Albino Bristlenose Pleco (Ancistrus cf. cirrhosus) is a popular freshwater fish known for its unique appearance and algae-eating habits.
They are relatively small, typically reaching 4-5 inches in length, and are known for their peaceful temperament and hardiness.
Their defining feature is the bristly appendages around their mouths, especially prominent in males. This species does very well with driftwood being present in their aquarium. Driftwood is an excellent source of biofilm, which these plecos, in addition to shrimp and other biofilm grazers depend on as a part of their diet.
