The Trimac Cichlid (Cichlasoma trimaculatum), also known as the three spot cichlid, is a large, aggressive freshwater fish native to Central America, particularly the Pacific slope drainages from Mexico to El Salvador. They are known for their vibrant colors and bold presence, making them a striking addition to large aquariums, though their aggressive nature necessitates careful consideration of tankmates.

Social Group: Solitary or Bonded M/F Pair

Diet: Carnivorous; high-quality cichlid pellets, chopped earthworm, prawns, mussels, shrimp, tilapia

Compatible with: Similarly sized New World cichlids in a LARGE aquarium. Tankmates should be used with caution.
