About the Glowlight Tetra

Glowlight Tetras (Hemigrammus erythrozonus) are small, peaceful freshwater fish known for their vibrant, glowing red stripe and schooling behavior. They are popular in the aquarium hobby due to their attractive appearance and easy-going nature. These fish are relatively small, reaching about 1.5 inches (4cm) in length. They are characterized by a bright red stripe that runs horizontally along their body, from snout to tail, and their other fins are transparent.

Water pH: 5.5-7.5

Social Group: 6+ Fish

Diet: Omnivorous; this species will readily consume commercial flakes/pellets, live baby brine shrimp, daphnia, frozen brine shrimp/bloodworms

Compatible with: Bettas, Dwarf Gourami, Honey Gourami, Neocaridina Shrimp, Amano Shrimp, Neon Tetras, Cardinal Tetras, Apistogramma sp., Mystery Snails, Nerite Snails.
