About the Giant Danio

The Giant Danio (Devario aequipinnatus) is a schooling, freshwater fish known for its lively and active nature. It's a relatively large danio, reaching up to 5 inches in length, and is characterized by its silvery body with iridescent blue and orange, broken vertical stripes. These fish are popular in community aquariums due to their peaceful temperament and beautiful markings, but they do require a spacious tank and plenty of open swimming space.

Diet: Omnivorous; High-Quality commercial flakes/pellets, supplemented with live baby brine shrimp, daphnia, frozen brine shrimp/bloodworms.

Compatible with: Boesemani Rainbowfish, Cherry Barbs, Neon Tetras, Cardinal Tetras, Corydoradinae Catfish, Bristlenose Pleco, Zebra Danios, Leopard Danios
