German Blue Rams are small, vibrantly colored freshwater cichlids popular in the aquarium hobby. They are known for their iridescent blue markings, yellow-green bodies, and peaceful, playful personalities. These fish are not beginner-friendly, requiring specific water parameters and a varied diet. 

Husbandry & Care

Temperament: Semi-Aggressive

Minimum Tank Size: 20 Gallons

Water Temperature:  81-86 °F

Water pH: 4.0-7.0

Social Group: Solitary, M/F Breeding Pair, or multiple pairs within a larger aquarium (55+ gallons)

Diet: Live grindal worms, baby brine shrimp, mosquito larvae, or daphnia, frozen brine shrimp/bloodworms. Supplement with high-quality commercial flakes/pellets.

Compatible with: Cardinal Tetras, Glass Catfish, Corydoradinae Catfish, Bristlenose Plecos, Rummynose Tetras, Harlequin Rasboras
