Cherry barbs are small, peaceful freshwater fish, popular for their bright red coloration, especially in males, and their suitability for community aquariums. They are relatively hardy, easy to care for, and are known to school well, adding activity and color to a tank.

Diet: Omnivorous; This species will readily accept a wide variety of commercial flakes/pellets, algae, detritus, frozen brine shrimp/bloodworms, live baby brine shrimp or daphnia

Compatible with: Bettas, Gourami, most tetras, Kuhli Loaches, Harlequin Rasboras, New World Dwarf Cichlids, Bristlenose Pleco, Mystery Snails, Amano Shrimp, Corydoradinae
