About the Buenos Aires Tetra

The Buenos Aires Tetra (Hyphessobrycon anisitsi) is a popular freshwater fish known for its hardiness and ease of care. It's a relatively large tetra, reaching up to 3 inches in length, and features a silvery body with red-orange fins and a distinctive black diamond-shaped spot on the tail fin. They are active swimmers and thrive in groups, making them a good addition to a community aquarium.

Water Temperature: 60-82 °F

Water pH: 5.5-8.5

Social Group: 8-10+ fish

Diet: Omnivorous; Commercial Flakes/Pellets, frozen brine shrimp/daphnia/bloodworms, live baby brine shrimp or daphnia.
