About the Blue Acara
The Blue Acara (Andinoacara pulcher) is a freshwater cichlid known for its beautiful coloration and peaceful temperament, especially compared to other cichlids. Wild Blue Acara are found in slow-moving rivers, lakes, and marshes of South America, primarily in Venezuela and Trinidad. They are typically mottled brown with electric blue spots and lines, and males have longer, pointed fins.
