The Black Neon Tetra (Hyphessobrycon herbertaxelrodi) is a freshwater fish known for its striking coloration and peaceful nature. It features a bright, iridescent silver-white stripe against a dark black body, with a vibrant orange marking above each eye. These tetras are relatively small, typically reaching around 1.5 inches in length, and are well-suited for community aquariums, especially planted tanks. They are schooling fish and thrive when kept in groups of six or more.
